Window Film

Cuts solar heat and UV and keeps the cabin cooler and more private.

  • Heat and UV reduction
  • Within legal visibility limits

Window Film

Window film filters solar heat and UV, keeping the cabin cooler, slowing fading of the interior and improving comfort. Films are available in different tints and heat-rejection levels.

It can be fitted to the windscreen, side windows and rear window individually or as a full set. Installation follows legal visibility limits.

Scope and options

  • Front 2 windows

Driver and passenger side windows. The most popular starting point for cutting heat and UV.

  • Full set

Side windows and rear window together, for a consistent look and privacy.

How it is done

  1. 01

    Choosing the film

Tint level and heat rejection are chosen together, within legal limits and for how you use the car.

  2. 02

    Glass preparation

The inside of the glass and its edges are cleaned thoroughly; dust and oil cause bubbles.

  3. 03

    Cutting

The film is cut to the size of each window.

  4. 04

    Application

The film is positioned, water and air are squeegeed out and the edges trimmed.

  5. 05

    Drying and check

The work is checked and drying time and care advice are given.

Which tint level suits you?

Tint level is a matter of both comfort and regulation. There are legal visibility limits for front and side windows, and they can vary by window and type of use. We therefore recommend films that comply with current rules.

For heat comfort, darkness is not the only measure: lighter films with high heat rejection can keep the cabin cool too.

Quick glossary

VLT
Visible light transmission (%): how much light the film lets through. A lower value means darker glass.
Heat rejection
How much solar heat the film blocks. It is not the same as darkness; light films can also reject heat.
UV protection
Blocks UV, protecting skin and upholstery from fading.
Ceramic and carbon film
Non-metallic film types: they do not interfere with signals and usually keep colour and reject heat better.

Aftercare

  • The first days. Do not open the windows for a few days so the film can settle.

  • Hazy look. A slight haze or water pockets can show at first; they disappear as it dries.

  • Cleaning. Use an ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft cloth.

Questions about this service

Is window film legal?

Yes, when applied within the visibility limits the regulations allow. Front and side windows have limits; we choose suitable tint levels together.

How much heat does it block?

It depends on the type and quality of film. When choosing, we explain heat rejection and darkness separately.

How long does it take?

A few hours for the front pair, longer for a full set.

Will there be bubbles or haze?

A slight haze or water pockets in the first days can be normal and fade as it dries. Show us any bubble that stays.

Can it be removed later?

Yes, the film can be removed. We recommend leaving it to us so the glass is not damaged.
