Ceramic Coating
A nano-ceramic surface that repels water and dirt and deepens gloss.
- Nano ceramic protective layer
- Water and dirt repellent surface
- Deep, lasting gloss
A ceramic coating is a thin protective layer that bonds chemically to the paint. Its hydrophobic nature means water and dirt do not cling, the car washes more easily and the paint gains a deeper gloss.
The paint is prepared with a detailed wash and polish first, because a coating does not hide defects, it seals them in. Preparation is the most important part of the job.
Scope and options
Paint only
Coating the exterior paint surfaces. The core option for gloss and easy washing.
Paint + glass and wheels
Glass and wheels are coated as well; easier visibility in rain and easier wheel cleaning.
Complete
Paint, glass, wheels and suitable plastic trims: consistent protection across the car.
How it is done
- 01
Inspection
The paint is checked under light for scratches, swirls and stains.
- 02
Wash and decontamination
Bonded dirt, iron particles and tar are removed from the surface.
- 03
Paint correction
Where needed, polishing removes scratches and swirls. A coating seals defects rather than hiding them, so this step matters.
- 04
Coating
The ceramic product is applied panel by panel and the excess is wiped off.
- 05
Curing and hand-over
We explain the curing time and care rules at hand-over.
Ceramic coating or wax?
Wax is a natural or synthetic product that is easy to apply but wears off quickly and needs frequent renewal. A ceramic coating bonds to the paint, protects for much longer and makes washing easier.
Choose wax for short-term, low-budget shine, and a ceramic coating for long-term protection and easy care. Either way, cleaning and, if needed, correcting the paint first decides the result.
Quick glossary
- Hydrophobic
- A water-repelling surface: water beads and runs off, and dirt clings less.
- Nano ceramic
- A thin protective layer, typically silicon dioxide (SiO₂) based, that bonds to the paint.
- Curing
- The period in which the coating reaches full hardness; care is taken with washing and rain.
- Scratch resistance
- A ceramic coating adds surface hardness but does not make paint scratch-proof; PPF is the answer to stone chips.
Aftercare
The first days. Do not wash during curing and keep the car under cover if you can.
Washing. Use pH-neutral shampoo and clean microfibre; avoid brush car washes.
Regular upkeep. Periodic maintenance products help the coating last longer.
Bird and insects. Rinse them off gently rather than leaving them on the surface.
Questions about this service
Does a ceramic coating prevent scratches?
Not by itself. It adds surface hardness and can reduce wash-induced marring, but PPF is what protects against impacts such as stone chips.
Is polishing required before coating?
Not always, but it is recommended on most cars. A coating seals defects rather than hiding them, so correcting the paint first decides the result.
How do I wash a coated car?
pH-neutral shampoo, clean microfibre and a brush-free method. The coating makes washing easier but does not remove the need for upkeep.
How long does it last?
It depends on the product, preparation, use and upkeep. We share a realistic expectation and the recommended care before we start.
Can a matte finish be ceramic coated?
Matte surfaces need special non-glossing products. We look at your paint and recommend the right one.
